This is an excellent image, as is most of your work.
The composition and framing of the image is very good, inviting the eye to wander up, down, out of the photo in many directions. The colors, contrasting with the dull stains of decay form a mutual counterpoint. I think these sorts of images are a symbol of our times. The decay of craftsmanship and taste, to be replaced with economies of scale and mass production.
Why, why, why do these pictures of abandoned buildings always seem more inviting and comfortable than any building I've been in? That staircase is quite exceptional.
Is this an HDR? I would think so since the light couldn't really be that even. But if so, it would be nice to see a glimpse of the outside scenery.
Lovely building, lovely photograph. (Options for originality are limited in this type of work. The low score is not a criticism.)
OK wow - I have to wonder what this place looked like just before it went - the color variety along this single staircase is surprising, playful, even whimsical as if meant for kids or anyone with imagination. Beautiful, and a little heartbreaking
